Emily Marie Passos Duffy is a poet, writer, editor, and performing artist whose work explores languages, labor, and liminal spaces. She is the author of Hemorrhaging Want & Water (Perennial Press, 2023) and co-founder of Working Girls Press alongside Molly B. Simmons.  She was a finalist for the Noemi Press 2020 Book Award and a finalist of the 2020 Inverted Syntax Sublingua Prize for Poetry. She was named a 2020 Disquiet International Luso-American fellow, and her chapbook, Miradouros was named a finalist in the 2023 Adrift Chapbook Contest. 

She received her MFA in Creative Writing & Poetics from the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics at Naropa University in 2018. She is a PhD candidate in Translation Studies.
